A Change of Heart

Jodi Picoult has a way of writing that draws a reader in.
I started her new book (it finally came in at the library).
It's a rare thing for me to read a book in one day,
but that is what happened.
It's a very good book.
I recommend it.
If you have never read Jodi....
I recommend starting with My Sister's Keeper....
especially since this movie is in the works. That is my favorite book of all time!

My Joy

Seth is home from Georgia.
His trip to Africa was life changing.
He has two weeks at home, and then is heading back to Georgia for....well, he lives there now.
WOW!
Hard to write that.
The opportunities for me to get a picture of my three kids together doesn't happen very often.
Pure summer smiles.
Shared love.

Chloe's Braces Gone

The date the braces came on seems to be in dispute, but I think it was the beginning of 7th grade.
Yesterday they came OFF!!
Look at the girl's LOVELY teeth!!!
They even gave her a bottle of sparkling cider and balloons!
She looks so happy to have them off.
She can't get over how weird her mouth feels with the braces off!

Drew Carey Says It

Contestant is playing Lucky Seven game on The Price is Right.
Drew gives the contestant seven one dollar bills. The contestant begins to guess the price of the car by guessing numbers. For each dollar they are off, they have to give Drew a dollar back. The contestant has to have one dollar left at the end of the game to buy the car.
Today I am watching TPIR with all the kids.
The young guy who is slated to win the Yellow Mustang Convertible is given his seven one dollar bills by Drew.
He says to Drew: Why don't I just give you all the seven dollars back, and you give me the car.
Drew says: This game isn't called The Price is Easy!

Pool Patch

We were totally bummed out to find out that we had a hole in the liner of our pool.
We had somebody come out last Thursday to fix the hole in the side of the pool.
Imagine how RIDICULOUS the guys thought I was as I stood out there recording them working on the patch.
I am proud to be a blogging dork.
