My friend, Lori, sent out an email which contained some of these amazing, horrific pictures from Hurricane Ike's aftermath. I guess I have just not seen much footage about this hurricane. It's horrible. My heart goes out to these people.

My step-son Jim lives in Houston and he said that he was amazed at how this has impacted the area. He and fellow Michigian Alumni volunteered at a food bank! He was one of the lucky ones not to lose power. Gas, food stores, streets closed, down trees, broken fences, traffic lights out, his pictures were sad. Karin
