Seth

Seth recently updated his blog.
I took some pictures off of his site.

Seth was recently in New York.

Here is Caleb and Seth doing some work

Look at this cute picture of Seth and Ashley in
Times Square.

This is Seth and his team in the Bronx.

This is a little girl that Seth was working with
at a school in the Bronx. His story about working
with her is so cute!

This far away picture of Seth and Caleb outside
the Seinfeld diner.

If you want to read his whole entry, check out his blog.

The Final Product

I know that paint can be difficult to fully see in pictures..
I know you have been wanting to see what it
looks like!
We really love it!!
We did two contrasting colors.
Sometimes you can tell more than other times.
To those of you who do not know what our house looks like.....
These pictures don't do it justice!

SO EXHAUSTED!!!

I am so tired right now I can't even handle it!!
We painted from 10:00 yesterday morning....
and cleaned up at 11:30 last night!
We painted the ENTIRE day.
We only stopped to have a quick lunch of sandwich and jello.
(Angela had left-over meatloaf!) (-:

I even conquered my fears and got up on the extension ladder
and painted over the stairs.
This was a HUGE deal to me.

This morning we are so stiff we can barely move.
NOW...we have to move the fridge...
and re-roll one more time.

I am hoping this day of painting is done MUCH SOONER!!!
We are just unmotivated to start.
It looks AWESOME though!

Good Friday

I just got up this morning to begin my big PAINTING job.
I get up, look out the window...and see this...
..

Don't tell anybody that I am on SPRING Break!
Apparently we could get up to 8 inches. We have already received more than half of that.
We went out to The Machine Shed last night with Brenda and Tracey.
It was quite the experience.
We were there for over an hour and a half, and it wasn't because we were just
hangout out....it just took that long.
We decided the food was good....but we will NOT be going back there.
We went back to their house for coffee and more conversation.
As we began our drive home from Oakdale, we noticed it was beginning to snow.
By the time we pulled into our driveway, it was full on snowing.

SO, I have Ellen on the TV, and I am now ready to begin my painting.

Panera

I went to Panera this morning with some friends from work.
I met the friends at 9:00 AM.
Lynda left at 10:20 for her second appointment, lunch with another friend.
Kerry left to get back to her homework a little after 11:15.
That left Fiona, Peggy and myself sitting there.
Finally at 1:00 the three of us left.
We were really enjoying the fact that we had no place in particular to go.

Tonight we have no kids, so we have a quiet night of American Idol!

St. Patrick's Day

Weirdest thing...
I woke up this morning and it was snowing.
We could get up to 7 inches.
Hoping that it doesn't happen.
It seems to have stopped for now.

The kids and I went and had brunch at Baker's Square
by
Southdale. The food wasn't good, but the conversation was.
My dad was quite funny.
Luke was coming up with the one liners that were making us all laugh.
My parents have just come home from Florida. They looked tan and rested.

On the way home we saw this leprechaun,
so we turned around and drove through the alley to
take the picture.
Chloe got out in the snow to take this picture.
He is actually quite creepy looking.

Now all 4 kids here watching Dan in Real Life.
I'm going to go do some reading.
Love Spring Break!!

Seth is in New York City today to watch the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Ashley's cousin, Josh, is in the parade with his high school band.
This morning they ate at the deli where Seinfeld was often filmed.
They were also going to Central Park.
Apparently it's nice out East.
UNLIKE HERE!!!

Kim

The weirdest thing just happened to me.
I JUST sent my cousin Kim an email asking her to take pictures of Seth when she sees him tomorrow.
Seth is in New York, the Bronx to be more precise, today. He is in NYC for a missions event.
He is going to be at the Evangelical Free Church in Montvale, NJ tomorrow.
This is the church that Dave and Vicki used to be youth leaders at. This is also the church that
my East Coast cousins grew up going to,
as well as my Uncle Fred and Aunt Ellie.

SO, I send Kim an email asking her to take pictures,
not 1 minute later, my cell phone rings.

It's my cousin Kim calling to ask if there was anything
I wanted for her to give Seth, or tell

Seth, or if she should take pictures, etc.
HOW BIZARRE IS THAT????
and NO, she had not received my email.
She was just thinking of me and decided to call me.
I love when that kind of stuff hapens.
Gives me spingles.
(You know...those goosebumps that go up the back of your neck.)
Anywho...
She and her twin sister, Karin, and their families
are going to be seeing Seth and Ashley tomorrow at church.
Kim has promised to take pictures and send them to me.
SO, I should be able to post some pictures on here soon.

Early Easter

Easter this year is on Sunday March 23, 2008.
As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20).
This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passove , which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar. Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but that is pretty rare This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives! Only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!) And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier!
Here are the facts:
The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913.
The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818.
So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!
My little bit of knowledge passed along to you.

Friday Night Talky

OH MY GOODNESS!!

Funniest thing...
all of a sudden, just a few minutes ago, all the videos I had tried to upload from YouTube showed up on my blog.
I had to delete 18 Friday Night Talky entries.
Obviously a computer glitch through Blogger.
The 18 videos shows my OCD at it's finest.

Children - They do what they see

We are doing a sermon series on Unpopular Parenting at church.
I had never seen this before, but they showed it during church yesterday.
It's sort of hard to watch...but very powerful!

The weekend

We made a talky blog on Friday night.
I am struggling to get it loaded on to here for some reason.
I'll try it another day.
Blogger may be experiencing some problems.

Look for a talky SOON!

Weekend

It's the weekend.
My sister-in-law and her boyfriend are coming over.
They decided that I need a jolt of fun.
How sweet is that??
Hoping for a boost!

Does anybody else think they suffer from SAD?
(Seasonal Affective Disorder)
I have NO DOUBT that this is an affliction for me.

Thanks to those of you who have gone out of your way to
bring a smile to my face.
I appreciate it!

Today my life is a bummer!
Everybody has those days, right?
Wishing I was somebody else today.

Ellen with her Hawaii Chair

My friend Lori send this to me!
I HAD to put it on my blog!
How freaking funny is this?

Jennifer's Surprise Party

Angela, Jennifer, Me

Jennifer and Terry

All of us at the restaurant

We celebrated another birthday this weekend.
Jennifer, Angela's sister, celebrated her 40th birthday on Friday night.
Angela planned a surprise party! There were 18 of us!
I think Jennifer was surprised!
After dinner the grown up girls went back to her parent's house for
slides of the girls as little ones, conversation, presents and dessert!

I took pictures of the slides that were projected
on to the wall. Some of them turned out, some did not!

Angela on he left, Beth, her oldest sister, on the right!

We had a blast.
